How to pay for Private Care?

- Family contributions: In many cases, adult children or other family members pool resources to help finance caregiving expenses, especially when their loved one’s income is limited. This can be formalized through shared payment plans or informal agreements.
- Home equity or reverse mortgage funds: Seniors who own their homes may choose to tap into home equity through a reverse mortgage. This option provides monthly income or a lump sum that can be used to pay for home care services while remaining in the home.

Private Pay Live-In Care
In this model, caregivers work 16-hour shifts and are able to sleep for 8 hours a day and remain in residence with the patient. This is distinct from 24-hour shift care which typically will require several caregivers on rotating shifts without sleeping.
