Types of Homecare We Provide

At LightSpring Home Care in Edison, NJ, our goal is to provide personalized services to support your loved one’s unique needs. Offering several types of in-home senior care helps us anticipate what types of services your loved one may require.

Our in-home care options in Edison, NJ include:

  • Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care
  • 24-Hour Home Care
  • Live-in care

Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care

Many physicians recommend that those with cognitive conditions remain in familiar environments to help manage symptoms and slow disease progression. Our caregivers are specially trained to provide compassionate care to seniors with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.

Our caregivers then use this training to help our client’s families create a safe and supportive environment for their loved one. From dressing and meal preparation to emotional support and medication reminders, we’ll be there for anything your loved one needs so they can remain at home.

24-Hour Home Care

For individuals who require around-the-clock assistance and supervision, we provide 24-hour home care services. One to two caregivers will provide care overnight for 8 to 12 hours, and a second caregiver or team of caregivers will deliver 8 to 12 hours of care during the day. This kind of care ensures someone is always ready to help your loved one.

24-hour care is billed hourly.

Live-In Care

For seniors who prefer to receive care from a single caregiver, we provide live-in care services. We’ll assign a caregiver to live with your loved one and provide support for 16 hours per day, with an 8-hour sleeping break.

Those receiving live-in care must be able to provide their caregiver with a private sleeping area and access to hygiene facilities. This type of home care is billed at a flat daily rate.

We Help You Find the Right Caregiver

At LightSpring Home Care, we believe that the caregiver-client match is one of the most critical aspects of in-home senior care. That’s why we schedule introductions between your loved one and their caregivers before care begins. These meetings give our caregivers the opportunity to get to know your senior loved one and their specific needs, preferences, and personality. This practice also helps your loved one feel more comfortable receiving care.

You Can Reach Your Caregiver Every Day

We know how important it is for you to stay connected with your senior loved one’s caregiver. That’s why we make it easy for you to reach out to them whenever you need to. You can communicate with our office team via phone, ensuring you always have the information you need about your loved one’s care.

We Have an On-Call Team For Emergencies

Though we pride ourselves on hiring only the most reliable caregivers, everyone experiences emergencies now and then. If your caregiver needs to call out to handle an urgent personal matter, our office team will coordinate with our on-call caregivers to ensure there’s a qualified professional available to prevent gaps in your loved one’s care.

We Train Caregivers to Meet Your Specific Needs

Our caregivers receive ongoing training and support from multidisciplinary care coordination teams to help them hone the skills and knowledge needed to provide the best possible care to your loved one.

These care coordination teams consist of:

  • Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Certified Nursing Assistants
